Divine Love Governing the World - II
I saw a glow upon a distant tree,
Orange lanterns lighting up the sky,
Huge globe-like blossoms set among the boughs
On a sculpted form that seemed a royal crown.
Approaching near, my eyes fell on the leaves,
Translucent ribbons almost latex in their feel,
In shades of mottled olive, pink and green,
Like dancers in some spirit-troupe's review.
Beneath a head of dense and darkened hue
Each flower clustered in a pendant ball,
Moving gently with a breath of wind,
And when they fell the earth was carpeted,
Her body like a gem-encrusted cloth,
Covered in refined elegance,
God's beauty for all, or one, or none to see.
